Wall 9/8/16

September 8 - We rode our bikes down by the ocean.  We were struck with the wall that was formed by the marine layer then there was blue sky and above darker clouds.  The view was one we had not been aware of before.  I'm trying to work on an analogy for the wall.  Is it there to protect us, to keep us in, or to not let anything in.  Is it pride which does not allow us to progress?  We will have barriers in our lives.  How will we deal with them?  The wall does not allow me to see beyond and there is fear of not knowing what is out there.  So many times my thoughts turn to trust in the Lord, He knows!

Cinnamon Rolls

We've heard the missionaries tell us stories of wanting a certain food or something and that day they received it through members.  Saturday, September 3, I mentioned to Dell it's been a long time since I've made cinnamon rolls (meaning I was wanting some).  That evening Trystan Ricks and her family came by to visit.  They enjoyed going to Pismo Beach and having the Old West Cinnamon Rolls.  Trystan knew we were fans.  When they left they gave us the cinnamon roll mix.  Yesterday we wanted to go see the elder who was confined to his apartment because of the cervical fractures and knew cinnamon rolls would be a good treat.  They were yummy!
