42 Years

Our wedding anniversary is a week from Sunday on the 16th of August.  Because the Bowens are coming to visit during that week and the week after we will be working on transfers, we decided to celebrate today by going golfing.

Olivos Links Course

There were sand traps but the deep ones were fortunately avoided. I didn't think the course was going to look very good but was pleasantly surprised with the scenery.  

We came upon a coyote, many squirels and a few rabbits.

We topped the date off by going to Joe's Crab Shack.  We each had clam chowder and then shared a Queen crab with corn on the cob and some red potatoes.

The background is the ocean.  We are amazed that we are here in Ventura and the ocean is so close.

You can't tell but there is a path close by the ocean where we ride our bikes.

Becca and Andy Easton drove from LA last Saturday before driving to St. George to visit.  We took them to the pier and had tacos.  The timing for them to come was great as it made us take a break and we needed it.

We finished interviews in the apartments of the missionaries yesterday.  It took us 9 days.  Last week we each picked a lemon off this tree.  It is on the property of where two of our sisters are living.  I've never picked a lemon before and wanted that experience.

I am noticing so many different palm trees and will be taking pictures to document.

Elder Lee texted me a picture of him going to the Habit in Utah.  I just had to return the favor.  No palm trees where he was.
