Dolphins

This morning on our bike ride we saw dolphins.  The dark spot below is a dolphin.  We saw several but they wouldn't cooperate for me to take their pictures.  It was a beautiful morning!

This was quite a sight.  Those are low laying clouds on our way to Simi Valley interviews on Friday.
Elder Alder on the right has invited us to lunch several times when we are in his area for interviews.  It finally happened in Thousand Oaks.  He brought lunch to the church.  He made beef curry to go over rice.  The jicama and carrots you see below were also included.  We were offered root beer and water.  For dessert - brownies with an orange flavored frosting.  He had set the table in the cultural hall.  Elder Gardner is his companion but I don't think he did much of the preparation.
Elder Alder likes to cook and I had heard he likes bananas with peanut butter and blueberries.  I saw a recipe and sent it to him.  This is how it turned out.  Smash a banana and mix two eggs in it.  Cook it like a pancake and add the toppings.  He sent me the picture of it after he made it.
I received an email from him today thanking us for lunch and my thank you note.  He said it was one of the best days of his mission so far -- "we had lunch then after we extended a baptismal invitation and she accepted."

Hermana Anstee wanted a picture of us together since we had the same colors on.  She is excited to meet Brooke because she has done some Spartan races also.
