The Assistants invited us to breakfast. We went over this morning at 8:00 before we all went to the office to work more on the transfers. Elder Weiss and Elder Swenson were pretty excited to have us over. When we were eating I asked if they thought they would tell their children about having the mission president and his wife over for breakfast.
They made a fantastic breakfast that consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, pumpkin pancakes, pineapple, kiwi, and cranberry mango juice. It was all so delicious!
As hard as I tried to have them over for dinner to celebrate their birthdays, it didn't happen with our schedules. Maybe that is why they wanted to do breakfast. Whatever the reason, we loved it.
Tomorrow we will go to lunch together. We take the assistants out to lunch after it's been decided where the missionaries will serve. If an assistant will be leaving, they get to choose where to eat. Elder Weiss has chosen Cafe Noveau. We haven't eaten there and understand it serves breakfast and brunch until 2:00.
